Sample Spreadsheets
There are a number of sample spreadsheets, to illustrate the different structures and methods of calculating VAT, and some advanced applications of Excelerator.

This is a special example spreadsheet that shows how automatically enter a default nominal code for a supplier.
The program retrieves the default posting code from the supplier's btx field (entered as "Web Site" in later version of Sage), but is is just for example.
There is a lot a flexibility as to how the default posting code can be stored.
To use:
- Enter a posting code against a supplier in the "Web Site" (btx)
- Open the workbook. Enter the supplier's code in the supplier's column. The posting code should appear immediately in the posting code column
PLPhoneDemo.xls
This is a special example spreadsheet that shows how to generate an invoice based on a soft copy of a telephone bill.
The bill would be in csv (comma separated) format. Each number on the bill would have a posting code mapped to it, and the mapping is stored on the spreadsheet.
To use:
- Open the sample spreadsheet
- The mappings are held on
- Click clear to clear the sheet
- Click on the load button to select a csv file to load. There should be a sample csv file phonebill.csv in the samples directory.
- The csv files should load and posting codes mapped automatically. The mappings are held on the 'Map' worksheet.
- Enter a supplier and invoice number, and post.
